Rest & Reset Yoga Nidra

Rest & Reset Yoga Nidra

A gentle warm up will release muscular tension from the day, prepare your body & quieten the mind for the deeply restful, meditative practice of Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra means ‘Yogic Sleep’ and is a deep state of relaxation, when you are totally relaxed, but not asleep.  You experience falling into a state between wakefulness and sleep, similar to when you are just about to fall asleep, so you are conscious and aware throughout the whole practice.

It is similar to a guided meditation, and is a simple technique to calm the nervous system, slow down brain waves and induce complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation to one’s being.

Yoga Nidra has been shown to:

  • Release tension, anxiety and stress
  • Help with insomnia

During Yoga Nidra you will be lying down, so please wear warm, loose, comfortable clothing and have a blanket, to keep you warm.

Open to all levels.  No experience of Yoga or Yoga Nidra is required.

“I only have to go into the room to feel deeply relaxed, as she guides us into a lovely calm place within us. I float home to a great night’s sleep – highly recommended!”
